Restore degraded farmland and hand it on
Context
The starting premise: what kind of land, and to what end. The model sets out why degraded land is the place to work (see foundation).
Decision
We restore worn-out former farmland into living habitat, live on it, and hand it on in better shape than we found it. Not pristine land, not a quick project — a long heal-then-handoff.
Why
Degraded land is affordable, genuinely needs help, and recovery shows in a way it never does on healthy ground. It fits two people at steward scale.
Constraints
Two people, limited capital, a lifetime horizon rather than a grant cycle.
Revisit when
Never as a premise; the specifics of where and how big live in the site and parameter decisions.
